It's been a great year for me and my art. And it's looking to be even better in the coming new year. I hope that all of you find the same promises and successes in your ventures.
I've had two photoshoots since my first stab at the gore series. These two shoots have completely changed my focus and I couldn't be happier.
I finally started to get more serious about the images and what I want out of them, and the first thing I had to do for that was to rent some decent equipment. So, a couple of hansel mono lights and softboxes later with a ring flash mixed in the works and you get what the latest for b/w images are. Also I have been working with one fantastic MUA, Missy (who really has to get herself an online portfolio for her work). She has been my current muse and we've been colaborating with ideas and pushing ourselves into thinking outside of the norm and go in other directions that some just wouldn't think of.
In a nutshell, Im happy. And I think that is the best gift that one could ever hope for with the approaching holidays. I hope and wish for the same success and gradification to all artists on this siteand I am looking forward in seeing your new pieces in the coming year.
Another Autumn on the Coast, wet and rainy. But I love it.
The weather wants to force me indoors and plan for my more surreal shoots which is good because I've got so many ideas swimming in my head.
The first of the "Gore" series has been done and I learned allot from it, primarily to stay with my original vision and keep things simple. Now it's time to refine the process and go futher everytime. I've found some extremely skilled people that I work with very well and it motivates me to push myself and them. That's what came together with the ABC shoot and I aim to emulate that shoot again and again ...
Well we're down to our last weekend of summer before school stats up and the models go running back to their studies. And Im scrambling to get some decent shots in with anyone and everyone I think will improve my portfolios.
I think it's fair to say that this has been the summer of the Wetlook for me. Im not sure how I got into this genre but it's been my focus this summer, so I may as well see it to the end.
As for this Fall, I will be returning with much moe darker themes that will be swimming in gore, sexuality and challenge religious views just because I want to. Keep watching this site in the coming months.
I'm slowly pushing thru the images to find the ones that have been calling to me these past few months. I've been treading back to some unfinished works that I have been posting this week and may have a few more to add before I return to my European images.
